JBL Professional has set a precedence of sorts in the studio monitors space with its 6300 Series. The award-winning monitors and subwoofers from JBL once again disprove the myth that clear sound production is akin to a child's play. The 6300 Series systems incorporate revolutionary technologies to take sound engineering to its next level – where ultimate linearity, power handling, and dynamic accuracy capabilities are the main driving force towards achieving a superior performance.
If studio engineers had it their way, mixing rooms would've gotten rid of walls. However, that's not to be. Both commercial and small control rooms have several limitations, making mixing such a challenging task. The walls of the control room, its ceiling and corners, and other obstructions within the room play the dubious role of coloring sound that is received at the listening position. JBL understands the need to scientifically treat the effect of boundaries, reflections, standing waves, and room modes for accurate reproduction of frequency response. Each equipment is handpicked for rigorous testing in one of JBL's several anechoic chambers before it hits the shelves.
The all-new JBL LSR6300 Series uses the proven LSR technology to create the necessary listening window for smooth and stunning reproduction of reflected sound. The intricate design takes into account the exact geometry of the waveguide, the interaction of woofer and tweeter, and the network.
JBL's greatest strength lies in their infrastructure to design and produce transducer components in-house. Coupled with extensive R&D capabilities, JBL creates in the shortest possible time an entire product line suited for different workspace. If LSR6328P uses a patented 8-inch Differential Drive carbon-fiber woofer for low frequency performance, LSR6325P-1 commands high accuracy in smaller spaces using a 5.25-inch high-excursion woofer. On the other hand, LSR6332 is suited for mid-field listening in behind-the-scenes applications. A heavy weight in its category, this non-powered monitor includes a 12-inch NDD dual core woofer, 5-inch Kevlar midrange speaker, and a 1-inch titanium composite tweeter for handling 200W continuous pink noise/800W peak noise.
With LSR6300, JBL shows how important it is to maximize the performance of each component inside the speaker as well as handling the influence of various factors outside of the speaker.
