JBL4408A is a two-way, compact monitor system (8-inch woofer), an apt choice for smaller recording studios or broadcast control rooms. As with other JBLs, 4408A handles distortion, frequency responses, and dispersion (polar response) with clinical precision. With a power rating of 100 watts (pink noise), you can be sure the 8" titanium dome tweeter and 2-way monitor will not waver in its acoustic output. In other words, there will be no dip in audible levels.

At JBL, carefully designed transducers ensure optimum performance of its studio monitors. Symmetrical Field Geometry (SFG™) magnet structures minimize harmonic distortion resulting in maximum definition of bass and low midrange information. The 200 mm low frequency and 25 mm high frequency titanium dome tweeter combine well to further minimize distortion levels, delivering even smoother, clearer high frequency information. Ultimately, the gadget comes out in flying colors when put to test in the studio environment.

The 4408A exhibits superb control over amplitude and phase characteristics providing you, the listener, with absolutely smooth transition between transducers for perfect imaging and unparalleled power response.
